Grace Fellowship Galleries

The Church Has Left the Building : On July 27, 2008 There was no Sunday morning worship service at Grace Fellowship in Katy Texas www.whatisgrace.org/chlb

Instead, approximately 2000 people covered the community in prayer as we painted and shoveled, tore down and built up, weeded and planted, laughed and cried, visited and fed . . . and above all shared the love of Christ at 44 different locations in the community.

Mike and I were so blessed to visit nine of the projects to help record the events of the day. It was amazing to see such an army of volunteers and the impact they made by painting a junior high school, visiting and working at nursing homes, packing care kits for victims of domestic abuse, painting and repairing private homes, planting a produce garden for a local food bank, assisting other churches and schools with maintenance and landscaping projects, washing cars, building wheelchair ramps, putting on carnivals for kids and hosting a barbeque for members of another church and their neighbors.

I know we were all hot and sweaty and so have removed any photos that I believe people might consider unflattering. If however anyone feels uncomfortable and would like for me to remove one of their photos, please leave a comment and I'll take care of it for you right away.

Any and all proceeds from sales of photos in this gallery will be returned directly to the Compassion Ministries fund at Grace Fellowship. It was a joy and a pleasure to participate in the first annual Church Has Left the Building.
