Shelly > September 5, 2008 Color Wheel Whoosh . . . Been so busy that I never even got around to picking up the crayons after I spilled them on the floor last week . . . much less posting any new dailies. At least they provided quick inspiration so that the folks who check my pics on a regular basis would know that I am still kicking. (Hi Mom) So, am I wierd or does anyone else who loves colors play this little game with crayons too? I sort of miss some of the old standard blended colors. The new ones have different tones and hues that just don't easily fit into a wheel like the ones from the olden days. And I have still never figured out how to incorporate all the browns, grays, blacks and white into this.
Shelly > July 20, 2008 Bull Market in the Galleria Actually this pic is from Saturday, the 19th, but if Smugmug can skip a day or two, so can I. This bull sculpture, created entirely from Red Bull cans, reminded me immediately of Alex's Bull Market shot from New York: http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/3752956_jdnMo#295448191_sGnCA People were lining up for pictures with the bull. I've never seen so many camera phones in action in one place in my life. Again, I used the little point n shoot and then a little bit of pp work for effects. We rarely go the the Galleria but it was a good mind diversion, and the air condition works well. There's certainly no indication of a lagging economy there.
Shelly > April24, 2008 There has to be something pithy to say about a bucket full of well-used baseballs, but I don't know what it would be. Maybe it's just late and my brain is turned off. Still, I love this shot for a computer wallpaper or background art.
